On the 6th, Broadcom announced two expanded partnership agreements: it will develop and supply customized AI chips for Google, while also providing additional computing capacity to Anthropic. Analysts believe this latest development indicates that Broadcom’s AI-related revenue could exceed previous expectations.

Broadcom also disclosed a separate agreement with Anthropic, marking an extension of their business relationship. Starting in 2027, Anthropic will access approximately 3.5GW of TPU computing resources through Broadcom. However, Broadcom noted in its filing that the scale of this capacity expansion will depend on Anthropic’s continued success. In a press release, Anthropic indicated strong financial momentum, with its annualized run-rate revenue now exceeding US$30 billion—significantly higher than the roughly US$9 billion reported at the end of 2025.

D.A. Davidson analyst Gil Luria commented that the new agreements have refocused market attention on Broadcom. While Broadcom has successfully secured new business, it is not the only option in the market. Major AI companies are actively diversifying their supply chains to accumulate as much computing capacity as possible. Anthropic stated: “We train and run Claude across a variety of hardware platforms—including AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and Nvidia GPUs—allowing us to match workloads with the most suitable chips and deliver better performance and resilience to our customers.” (Source: Anue News)
